Today’s monumental announcement by the Supreme Court legalizing same sex marriage in all 50 states was a huge step toward equality for all Americans. Though marriage equality is now the law of the land, the GOP Presidential field continues its opposition.

This week, former Texas Governor Rick Perry announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination. This week, DNC Research Director Lauren Dillon penned an article for Medium.com on Scott Walker’s dubious financial dealings through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). “When Walker created the WEDC he appointed himself chairman and gave himself the authority to appoint much of the agency’s leadership team. As the Supreme Court met to hear oral arguments on the future of marriage equality in the United States, Republican presidential hopefuls once again showed how out of touch they are with Americans on equal rights. While Jeb Bush has said that the “institution of marriage” was “under attack,” Marco Rubio has called arguments in favor of marriage equality “ridiculous and absurd.”
